Between The Covers: A NC Literary Bed and Breakfast is located in the Rohler family home in the Historic Carolina Heights neighborhood. Gwenyfar Rohler grew up in a temple to the written word. Her parents built one the largest private libraries not associated with a college in North Carolina. Along the way the Rohlers were selected by Richard Daughtry to carry on his bookstore when he retired. Old Books on Front St. has become a fixture of downtown Wilmington's cultural life. When Gwenyfar inherited her family home in 2014 she began restoring the dilapidated mansion to it's former glory. She knew that celebrating the family's library, and the state's rich literary tradition, were at the heart of the endeavor.
Between The Covers a NC Literary Bed and Breakfast is a full service Bed and Breakfast. Your stay includes a three-course breakfast in our stunning dining room, and all day coffee, beverage and snacks buffet located in the Butler's pantry.
